## Chapter Title: Demigod Trait Dungeon Cleared

Crack!

Isaac’s lightning-quick roundhouse kick naturally snapped the replica’s neck.

The double wasn’t merely proficient with blades—it possessed genuine mastery in unarmed combat as well.

However, the Will was no different.

The Will had been forged and hardened by countless battles.

It had felt complete certainty that it could not be defeated…

And yet, this human was stretching his limits, exceeding them, and digging into his very soul to stand against it.

His motions moved past simple excellence, touching the realm of high art, leaving the Will utterly stunned.

‘A… deity… of… slaughter.’

The man was a god of combat.

There was no other way to explain how he could drive the Will into such a corner.

Still, the entity refused to concede.

“What… are you? Just what the hell are you?!”

The Will let out a piercing cry, having seen the mirrors of Isaac and Isabella fall.

By now, the conclusion was written on the wall.

It had suffered defeat in a contest it should have been impossible to lose.

What stung even more was that the human was only slaying the copies using their real-life counterparts.

Precisely as he was doing now.

The actual Serengeti moved into the fray.

Even though he could have obliterated the copy 3-to-1, he was adamant about a 1-on-1 duel.

Proceed, he seemed to be saying—give it everything you’ve got in your final moments.

‘You cursed… mutt…!’

Thud.

The Will severed the throat of the Serengeti imitation it had conjured.

In that heartbeat, its thoughts turned transparent, and the Will sank into hopelessness.

—Aaaah!

The Will’s physical form ripped apart, as dark ichor sprayed outward.

Such was the price for the loser of the ultimate gamble.

It had stepped forward with absolute pride, betting its entire existence, but the ‘contest’ it felt so dominant in was a theater where the protagonist felt equally supreme.

《’Demigod’s Will’ has been annihilated.》

《Gathered ‘Corrupted Honor’ starts to consume the dungeon.》

Corrupted Honor.

It appeared the Will had sucked up every drop of dignity left by the challengers who had perished in this tomb.

—Perish… perish!

A miserable creature until the very end.

Its internal fluids and the Corrupted Honor began to dissolve every inch of the cavern.

If they remained motionless, they would be dissolved as well.

‘The portal remains active.’

The saving grace was that the gateway the Will had opened was still standing.

However, with the Will’s passing, its lifespan would be drastically cut short.

“Pull yourselves together.”

“Ah.”

The three companions, still buzzing with the heat of the fight, finally returned to their senses.

They stared at their own palms, expressions of dawning understanding crossing their features.

But this was no moment to reflect on their growth.

Serengeti surveyed the crumbling chamber and spoke.

“We have to depart—immediately.”

She was right.

If not for the radiance pulsing from my chest, we would have done exactly that.

《’Heavenly Spirit Egg’ starts to consume ‘Corrupted Honor’.》

It was the Heavenly Spirit Egg.

The artifact I had claimed from the Spirit Tower after witnessing the conclusion of ‘Chaos’.

The egg, which matured by feasting on glory and sins, began siphoning the ‘Corrupted Honor’ bleeding out from the Will.

—You thief… until the end! St-stop! No, stay back!

The Will’s convulsions turned more desperate.

It was experiencing a horror that surpassed the concept of death.

In short order, the Heavenly Spirit Egg had drained every lingering speck of ‘Corrupted Honor’ from within the Will.

At that moment.

Crack!

Kill Phantom!

—Stunning.

The deities of the Citizen War offered a brief appraisal of the outcome.

Even if it was just the remnants of a glorious hero’s divinity, the Will still possessed his talents.

A rare genius with a natural gift for directing heroes—steering them, maneuvering them, and driving them beyond their boundaries.

Who would have guessed that even a fragment inheriting that genius’s spark would break so pathetically?

One could only describe it as miraculous.

“…Quite remarkable.”

Even the Brilliant Hero’s Constellation found the scene surreal.

It hadn’t even been a fair fight.

The skill required to watch and coordinate all three fighters simultaneously was breathtaking.

And that was merely the surface.

Mortals rarely tapped into even half of their latent power.

Yet he had pulled 120% from each of the three.

It was a feat impossible without a profound understanding of their inner workings.

Isaac, Isabella, Serengeti.

It required knowing them more deeply than they knew themselves.

But was such a thing feasible?

To understand someone better than their own soul?

‘So obtaining that hidden anomaly wasn’t just a stroke of luck.’

He possessed the competence.

And the chaos.

That was why so much scrutiny was focused on him.

Never before had the Citizen War deities unanimously agreed to boost a prize.

These picky entities had no choice but to give their approval.

Reflecting on it, it couldn’t have been mere chance.

‘He took what the deities viewed as a toss-up and turned it into a landslide.’

It had lost the wager, but its heart was satisfied.

A defeat without a shadow of doubt meant it would fulfill its word with a ‘unique prize’.

“Hm, what is that…?”

The Brilliant Hero’s Constellation, who had been observing him closely, suddenly cocked its head.

Not just that one—all the deities shifted their attention at the same time to the newly birthed ‘thing’.

An entity had appeared that could command every gaze in the room.

And upon seeing the fledgling life, the deities could only let out a gasp of bewilderment.

“That’s…!”

—What…!

In that flash, two rows of script appeared before the eyes of every participant.

《’Demigod Trait Dungeon’ has been conquered.》

《Hall of Fame has been refreshed.》

It was enough to make every player stop in their tracks, baffled.

“Demigod Trait Dungeon? That trash heap?”

“Who on earth finished that?”

“It can’t be…”

The most hated party instance that every group loathed and bypassed.

News that the Demigod Trait Dungeon had been beaten.

But it was a location everyone had written off.

Phantom, Gracia, Master, and every high-level player had tested it and left in frustration.

It wasn’t designed to be won—so who did it?

A single name struck the minds of every player.

“Randolph!”

“Insane…”

“He actually beat it?”

“No way!”

It felt impossible, yet it was reality.

Randolph had aggressively seized the top spot on the ‘Main Quest 6: Clear Party Dungeon’ Hall of Fame.

By a massive gap, once more.

It meant Randolph had finished the Demigod Trait Dungeon.

Unique zones like the Demigod Dungeon were etched into ‘history’ upon completion, broadcasting to the entire player base.

So it wasn’t a mistake.

“…Bring Phantom to me. Execute him if he fights back.”

“Understood, Master.”

The second Master noticed the alert, he deployed the ‘Shadows’.

If he had finished the dungeon, he would still be within the vicinity.

The ideal moment to intercept Randolph.

No matter how powerful Randolph was, he couldn’t survive the Shadows.

They were high-level killers trained to bring down even planet-devourers and celestial beings.

‘To think he would actually survive that place…’

Once the Shadows departed, Master showed a trace of astonishment.

He hadn’t anticipated Phantom finishing the ‘Demigod Trait Dungeon’.

Wilhelm had failed there, after all—so why bother?

‘Displaying the distance between you and us?’

Now he felt he grasped Phantom’s motives.

It was a show of force.

A reminder of the social hierarchy.

Between the masses and him.

No matter how many years they spent plotting or what they achieved, they could never overtake him—that was the message.

Just like in the past.

Back when he was playing as Wilhelm.

Crunch!

‘Infuriating prick.’

Master despised Phantom.

Because he was so incredibly arrogant.

Walking around like some majestic crane while everyone else was in the mud.

Even after becoming a player, nothing had changed.

Most people panicked and died the moment they entered.

Without a team, they all perished early.

Pangeniar wasn’t kind enough for someone to survive alone.

They clustered together to stay alive, and leading that group made Master a king.

But Phantom insulted them by solving every problem by himself.

Knocking the Hall of Fame standings down again.

Dropping in the Hall of Fame wasn’t a minor thing.

It wounded his pride.

Since every single player could see the list.

‘If I don’t get rid of him, he’ll jeopardize my throne.’

Not just his—the positions of other heroes as well.

Once the public started praising and following Randolph one after another, it would be a landslide.

He had to strike him down first.

If not, at least put him in chains.

Master grabbed the controller and clicked on the wall-mounted screen.

—Are you terrified of the beasts? Trust only in our Champions!

—Super Hero! Super Hero! The Protectors of our world!

—Visit the ‘Interdimensional Community’ now!

Every broadcast and outlet was filled with stories of the Dimension Warriors.

Building and polishing the hero’s reputation was his project.

He had been constructing this foundation from the ground up for three years, so it was expected.

A massive monument.

He wouldn’t permit that bastard to knock down the empire he had raised.

‘Kill him, capture him, or at least rip off his mask…’

Any outcome would be a win.

But it had to happen before the bastard climbed any higher.

Still, no stress.

If the Shadows tracked him correctly, the man had no exit.

‘This time, I won’t let you slip through my fingers, Phantom.’

《You have finished ‘Main Quest 6: Clear Party Dungeon’.》

《Calculating results.》

《A shocking result that stuns the world!》

《Total score: 350 points》

《Recorded on ‘Hall of Fame’.》

《Received ‘Large Fragment of the Broken Golden Rule’.》

《’Brilliant Hero’s Constellation’ grants a unique prize to you.》

《’Constellation of Adventure’ applauds you. Reward quality is enhanced.》

《’Constellation of Luck’ beams at you. Reward quality is enhanced.》

《’Nameless Constellation’ finds it acceptable. Reward quality is enhanced.》

……

《Prize list tiers, including Lucky Die, increase by 51 levels.》

《You may pick one prize from the 11 provided.》

《Peerless Gokushin Saber》, 《Radiant Honor Robe》, 《Absolute Void》, 《Armor of the Corrupted King》, 《Crown of the Corrupted King》, 《Round Table of the Corrupted Knights》, 《Star Strider》, 《Staff of Original Sin》, 《Terror of Shatyros》, 《Demonic Spear of Impurity》, 《Labyrinth’s End》

With the Will’s demise finishing the zone, the prizes materialized before me.

Those high-tier rewards left me breathless.

Every one of the 11 was far beyond anything we had encountered until now.

Greatly surpassing what Main Quest 6 was supposed to provide.

‘All peak-level equipment.’

Almost unmatched unless compared to Unique-grade.

Just debating which to choose was enough to make me shout with excitement.

Furthermore, I hadn’t even looked at the special prize from the Brilliant Hero’s Constellation.

Yet even those legendary items couldn’t keep my focus.

“…Is this… a familiar?”

“It looks exactly like…”

“……”

What had emerged from the Heavenly Spirit Egg.

All three of my allies stepped back from the newborn entity.

And it was understandable.

Serengeti specifically looked at its shape and said with certainty.

“Not a spirit… but a Soul Reaper, isn’t it?”

The size of a fist, draped in dark embers like a cloak, carrying a scythe.

A bony frame and skull. It was clearly a Soul Reaper.

Of course, it was different from the legends.

Wings.

One dark wing and one pale one, fluttering away—strangely adorable by comparison.

Kyakyak!

It confidently landed on my shoulder.

A creature born from eating all that Corrupted Honor, taking this strange Reaper shape.

But wasn’t it supposed to be a Heavenly Spirit?

I leaned in to look at it more closely.

【Lv. 1】

【Heavenly Spirit】

【Legitimate Successor】

【Dimension Slash (Lv. 1)】

Its level and stats soon became visible.

The Heavenly Spirit label was confirmed.

‘Are the Heavens and Reapers related?’

I had no clue.

Everything regarding the hidden trait Heaven was a total enigma.

I had only discovered it was a racial trait called ‘Heavenly’ from the mystery quest—nothing else.

‘Legitimate Successor.’

Legitimate.

Meaning the direct line, like a pure royal bloodline.
