Chapter 466
It was instantly clear to me.
The simple reality that I was currently trapped in a dream.
“Seonghyeon! It is time to start moving! Do you have any idea what time it has become? Are you still in bed?”
“Unbelievable. We specifically requested that you rise early on this occasion.”
“We will completely miss our railway departure if you keep this up! Arise, clean yourself, and prepare to leave!”
The maternal shouting demanding my awakening, paired with my father’s distant, annoyed clicking sounds, drifted over from afar.
Two profoundly missed individuals whom I could no longer gaze upon in the waking world.
My instinct was to spring toward them immediately to pull them into a desperate embrace, but my physical form refused to comply with my desires.
As though restricted to the role of a mere observer, I simply drifted out of the covers mechanically and made my way toward the restroom out of sheer muscle memory.
“My boy, if someone wishes to achieve true greatness, they must experience the broader world. There is truly no superior method to achieve that than journeying.”
“Goodness gracious, old man. Try not to brag so much after organizing a single trip across the sea.”
“What? It cannot be helped. It is not a lack of desire on my part, but the safety of foreign nations does not compare to Korea, meaning if a crisis occurs…”
“Oh dear—I understand, I understand. It is impossible to hold a conversation with you.”
And within moments, the precise memory this illusion was reconstructing became entirely clear to me.

“Even so, lacking those two alongside us this period, does it not feel somewhat desolate?”
“It is unavoidable. Grandma is truly advancing in years at this point. Furthermore, Taesan firmly chose to remain by her side to offer support.”
‘s been feeling so guilty about being a feel a bit bad. Should we have skipped is time that we planned this just among ourselves… but I you?”
Ever since the reality of Taesan’s familial difficulties came to light, our journeys had consistently included those two individuals, yet by some turn of events, this instance was restricted to just the three of us for the first time in a very long period.
And the sequence that followed this moment was permanently seared into my mind.
‘Stop! Do not depart!’
Yet I possessed zero agency to alter the course.
I screamed out internally as I watched my past self proceed toward Seoul Station alongside my parents, but the desperate words merely ricocheted within my own consciousness, failing to catch their ears.
‘Stop!!’
And then…
“Incredible—look at that scenery. My boy, didn’t I promise you that coming to this location was the correct path?”
“My word, this flavor is spectacular! We must purchase an absolute abundance to bring back with us. We definitely need to share some with Taesan’s family!”
The horrific catastrophe that remained so intensely engraved in my memories failed to materialize.
Not until our entirely commonplace, somewhat tedious vacation concluded and we safely stepped back into our residence.
…I understand now. This truly was nothing more than an illusion.’
At that particular juncture, the exact nature of this subconscious manifestation became clear.
Visions during sleep are merely the intellect stitching together fragments of persistent worries into a believable narrative.
It made perfect sense that it would construct a scenario I profoundly yearned for and envisioned, rather than presenting the agonizing truth.
From that point forward, I found myself observing the developing timeline with a significantly more collected disposition.
As is typical with illusions of the mind, the progression of hours was blurred and unstable, yet tracking a general estimation of the passing weeks was not overly difficult.
“This youngster is slumbering through the morning once more. Arise this instant!”
“Did he not mention possessing an early university session today?”
“That is precisely my point. He will undoubtedly bypass his morning meal and dash out the door once again. Wake up, Seonghyeon!”
“Unbelievable.”
I finished my secondary education in an ordinary fashion and secured enrollment at an institution in Seoul that corresponded with my academic performance.
Naturally, it was impossible not to draw comparisons to my companion who secured a complete academic waiver while balancing employment.
“Greetings, Seonghyeon.”
“What is the matter? For what reason do you appear completely exhausted this morning? Did you engage in another overnight session?”
“A massive yawn… I was participating in a ranked advancement match.”
“Good grief, you are going to exhaust your youth entirely too quickly.”
I let out a slow yawn and exchanged casual remarks with Taesan.
The public sphere was completely consumed by talk regarding Awakeners and offenses committed via extraordinary traits, yet it failed to disrupt my everyday existence in a major way.
Korea maintained exceptional domestic security when contrasted with foreign territories, and as it had always been, those who met with misfortune represented a minor percentage compared to the collective populace.
Identical to my authentic past self.
Within this subconscious realm, I merely existed as part of the safe greater percentage.
-Moving to international updates. The lawbreaker who forced entry into Zhongnanhai within the core of China has at last been apprehended following an extended pursuit.
The culprit inflicted tremendous devastation throughout…
The horrific offenses being broadcasted loudly from the television screen felt like entirely disconnected tales to my current manifestation.
An indeterminate amount of time drifted away in that manner.
Glimpses of a repetitive lifestyle drifted past in rapid succession.
Assessments, yearly celebrations, romantic pursuits, vacations, digital entertainment, relationship conclusions, and similar milestones.
I developed incrementally, shedding tears and experiencing joy through the commonplace yet distinctly meaningful milestones that the vast majority of mankind goes through.
‘An existence of this nature would not have been terrible whatsoever.’
Possessing zero supernatural capability or dominion to alter the global landscape, yet existing in a state of modest contentment alongside irreplaceable individuals.
The tranquility was profound enough that I was fully prepared to embrace it as the destiny I truly wanted.
Indeed.
Right up until the entire environment instantly inverted.
‘Hold on. What is occurring?’
On a particular afternoon, the brightness completely withdrew from the firmament.
Initially, the true nature of the event escaped my comprehension.
I was far too minor a creation to interpret the phenomenon immediately.
However, the exact instant my vision aligned with the colossal ocular entity that spanned the entire sky.
An internal certainty gripped me regarding the reality of the situation.
An entity of such incomprehensible scale that it could grasp the entire Earth within a single palm was staring down from above.
‘Is that truly a visual organ?’
Perhaps it was something else entirely.
My cognitive faculties, lacking the capacity to process what my vision was capturing, might have merely substituted a rough approximation of a familiar concept.
Yet none of those technicalities carried weight any longer.
!]
A completely incomprehensible declaration of an unidentifiable source reverberated directly within my consciousness.
But in my utterly powerless state, there was absolutely nothing I could achieve.
The exact same limitation applied to the highest-ranking Transcendents who had wielded virtually limitless authority until that moment.
This entity was divinity incarnate—a force that mere flesh and blood could never hope to oppose.
And immediately following that realization.
I—Han Seonghyeon—
—found myself staring blankly at the recognizable plaster above my bed, deeply entangled in reflection.
‘What sort of preposterous subconscious fantasy was that?’
In the typical fashion of dreams, the specific recollections began to dissolve the moment my eyelids parted, forcing me to rapidly reconstruct the vital elements.
For instance… the extraordinarily clear countenances of my mother and father, whom I could currently only observe through printed imagery.
“Good grief, well, the narrative was remarkably pleasant until the absolute conclusion…”
A reality where my parents were never taken from me and where I never triggered any mystical capabilities.
While fully submerged in the experience, the oddities had escaped my notice, but analyzing it now, the deviations from actual history far outnumbered the commonalities—enough to produce a strange sense of wrongness.
No, in truth, the variations were vastly more numerous than the similarities.
‘Ah well, illusions are simply unpredictable by nature.’
I shook my head slightly and stood up from the mattress.
The mental imagery had abruptly shifted into absolute cosmic dread, leaving my skin slick with perspiration despite being asleep, which gave me the urge to cleanse myself.

An involuntary chuckle broke from my lips without warning.
The formidable Immortal King who commands spiritual remnants and reanimated remains; the sovereign Vampire King who sits at the absolute apex of the blood-drinking race;
the supreme Demon King who rules the infernal territory high above all fiends; the anomalous entity that consumes all manner of bizarre monstrosities as simple snacks.
Visualizing those specific manifestations, who were entirely accustomed to projecting absolute terror into the hearts of others, shivering in sheer panic was simply far too entertaining.
After cleansing my body and feeling thoroughly renewed, the lingering discomfort from the nightmare vanished entirely.
I relaxed into a comfortable seat with a steaming vessel of coffee and spoke in a quiet undertone.
“Very well—what exactly triggered such a subconscious manifestation out of nowhere?”
I possessed absolutely no desire to pass it off as a common dream with no backing.
Had I been an ordinary mortal, perhaps that would be appropriate, but with a spiritual core expanded to the point of nurturing an actual fragment of divinity, it was entirely implausible that my mind would construct a valueless vision.
At this advanced tier of existence, even spontaneous contemplations frequently scraped against absolute reality.
‘It is highly likely related to Heinrich acquiring the Fruit of Myth and obtaining a flash of what lies ahead… Yet the parameters are far too divergent to label it an authentic prophetic vision.’
Even so, I could not place absolute confidence in the imagery.
I did not possess natural prophetic traits myself, and lacking a mechanism to separate factual foresight from mere mental fabrication, the ambiguity of the experience persisted.
‘Even authentic prophets fail to provide absolute certainty. That is precisely the reason they speak in riddles.’
I continued to take measured drafts of my beverage for a period, systematically sorting through my perspective.
A multitude of explanations drifted through my mind, yet a single reality stood out as absolutely paramount.
‘Regardless of what manifests within the timeline, I must construct flawless preparations to react with total efficiency.’
Even if that required confronting an extraplanetary cosmic entity launching a descent upon Earth.
A heavy breath escaped my lips naturally, already weighed down by the necessity of managing the supreme commander of the Reverse Heaven Society, only to now inherit additional anxieties.
I desperately desired for someone, anyone at all, to divide this immense obligation with me…
Simultaneously with that exact reflection, just as I drew another mouthful of coffee.
“Pfft!”
I sprayed the liquid outward, completely blocked from swallowing it.
Blinking my eyes in absolute shock, I instantly transferred my consciousness over to my various manifestations.
‘What? By what means did this transpire?’

‘Disappeared.’
Precisely as my intuition had anticipated.
The personal quarters stood completely vacant.
She had unquestionably occupied that exact space merely a few breaths ago!
‘Could she have exited through the window framework…? No, that is impossible.’
Ramyu had confined herself to her quarters entirely by her own choice; I had never imposed any form of imprisonment upon her.
Furthermore, the protective mystical boundaries showed zero signs of disruption.
This particular dwelling lacked the extreme fortifications of the primary headquarters, but it nevertheless maintained highly capable defensive structures.
“Hoo. It truly manifested as reality.”
Hun exhaled a deep pocket of air to anchor his emotions.
In all honesty, there was no genuine rationale for such panic.
I had merely conducted a verification for total certainty; her exact location was already clear to me.
To be entirely precise.
The information had reached me from the alternate perspective initially.
He directed his internal focus toward the specific manifestation where Ramyu’s presence had signaled its existence.
The magnificent Gold Dragon, Horus.
‘By what unimaginable method did she journey to that location?’
Ramyu, who had been situated on the surface of Earth just a brief moment prior.
Was currently standing within the bounds of the Kanghwan Realm.
*** The grand sanctuary known as the Dragon God Temple was plunged into absolute pandemonium.
An unsanctioned individual had successfully breached the most intensely defended zone on Golden Turtle Island, which was essentially the ancestral territory of the yokai species.
Directly into the private sanctuary of the youthful Baby Yellow Dragon Hwiryong, right through an absurd layer of protection.
The initial entity to identify the uninvited guest was the Black Dragon.
Arriving to visit Hwiryong with a collection of treats as was her routine, successfully slipping past the remaining members of the Four Dragons, she witnessed the sight.
A human youth appearing to be in her early adolescent years sharing amusement with their most cherished entity.
The subsequent events require no elaboration.

The adolescent female presenting long, woven dark locks—the Black Dragon—clenched her teeth fiercely, as waves of abyssal dark force began to erupt erratically from her form.
She already harbored an intense loathing for human beings.
To encounter one under these catastrophic circumstances was intolerable.
[Kyung! Kyaang-!]
Had Hwiryong not immediately coiled her elongated form defensively around the human youth while letting out aggressive, protective barks, a truly horrific outcome would have undoubtedly transpired by now.
“Your companion? What absolute idiocy are you uttering, Hwiryong! In what universe could a basic human exist as your companion? Furthermore, you have been confined to this interior space—how could you possibly possess external acquaintances…”
[Kyurrr! Kyak!]
“…W-who declared that I am devoid of companions! You are forbidden from addressing your elder sister in such a manner! That is quite enough. Move over here. It appears I have been entirely too lenient with you over this extended period…”
[Hing hing~!]
“Urk! This is preposterous…!”
Horus, who had materialized rapidly following the crisis notification regarding the unauthorized entry, evaluated the ongoing situation and let out a breath of profound comfort.
Owing to Hwiryong actively intervening, the scenario had been prevented from degenerating into the absolute catastrophe he had originally anticipated.
He restricted the advancing members of the Four Dragons from interfering and systematically moved closer to the chaotic point.
To speak with total accuracy—toward Ramyu, who was currently being shielded by the radiant auric force radiating directly from Hwiryong’s physical structure.
[Kyuing!]
Hwiryong’s focus snapped toward his arriving form, her head bobbing with immense delight.
She appeared incredibly desperate to wrap herself around his presence but actively restrained her movements to maintain her defensive posture over Ramyu.
“Horus! Your arrival is immaculate! Instill some rationality into her mind!”
The Black Dragon expressed relief at his presence as well.
She was restricted from executing direct maneuvers out of terror that she might inadvertently inflict harm upon Hwiryong if she applied too much force, but Horus, whom Hwiryong held in exceptionally high regard, could undoubtedly alter her stance.
“Ah…”
Additionally, his youthful presentation, looking to be merely four or five winters old, served to reduce Ramyu’s intense panic amidst the sudden pandemonium.
Gaining confidence from the collective responses of everyone present, Horus advanced and rapidly brought order to the environment.
Placating the enraged Black Dragon and causing her to withdraw, gently comforting the highly defensive Hwiryong, and systematically encouraging the hesitant Ramyu to render a full account of the circumstances.

Horus displayed an intricate, unreadable look upon receiving her commentary.
Failing to identify any specific dimension or spatial coordinates—simply possessing an intense yearning to encounter an individual—and executing a breach through structural dimensional barriers?
Vanishing completely without leaving a single indicator, only to materialize flawlessly at the targeted destination?
“In that case, possess you the capacity to journey back to the territory you departed from? Utilizing the exact mechanism that brought you to this space.”
“Ah? Um… I shall attempt it… I suppose.”
Ramyu closed her eyelids tightly and let out a strained sound.
Roughly sixty seconds ticked away.
Just as he began to deliberate whether the feat was unachievable on short notice.
[Neong?]
Her form dissolved completely into nothingness.
Hwiryong inspected the empty ground where Ramyu had been standing with immense curiosity, yet absolutely no indicators of her presence persisted.
And immediately following that event.
“…Ah? In that spot…”
Hun traded looks with Ramyu, who had instantaneously materialized within the vacant chambers, and let out a faint, disbelieving chuckle.
‘Operating completely without specialized training, with virtually zero recovery period or transit delay? What manner of absurd, unfair capability is this.’
It was apparent that he had taken responsibility for a youngster possessing talents far more miraculous than he had initially calculated.
