**Chapter 524. The Lazy, Begins (4)**

—”Stop them.”

—”Huh?”

—”He says to stop them.”

—”…Stop them?”

—”Yes.”

Wei Yanho opened his mouth upon seeing Wei Jeonghan nod calmly, as if the matter wasn’t with him.

—”Who?”

—”Who do you think?”

—”Them?”

—”Exactly.”

Wei Yanho turned his head and looked to the side. On the desolate plain, an army advanced, raising clouds of dust that captured his attention.

—”Um… then?”

—”What kind of ‘then’ is that? It’s obvious what I’m saying.”

—”Yes, I mean…”

Wei Yanho seemed to reflect for a moment before speaking.

—”Are you telling me to stop that army with just the people we have here?”

—”That’s right.”

—”Hahahaha! Come on, this is ridiculous.”

Wei Yanho let out a mocking laugh.

—”If he’s already senile from age, he should retire! What kind of glory does he expect to gain by clinging to that position?”

—”Hey, insolent! How dare you speak of the Master of Divine Abilities like that!”

—”What kind of master? He’s just a doddering old man!”

Wei Yanho raised his voice.

—”Would anyone in their right mind give an order like that? He might as well ask us to bring him the head of the leader of the Demon Cult! If he’s going to ask for nonsense anyway, at least let it be something challenging!”

Jangil nodded repeatedly.

Although Wei Yanho was known for his irresponsible words and actions, at this moment, Jangil completely agreed with him.

—”I wouldn’t normally take his side, but…”

Jangil was seriously considering including in his report to the Beggar Sect: *”The Master of Divine Abilities has lost his mind; we request a reorganization of command.”*

What? Stop them?

Who?

The Demon Cult?

—”For the love of…!”

In the world, there is the saying: *”To strike a rock with an egg.”*

But if we compare the Demon Cult to a rock, then calling those who face them an “egg” is an insult to eggs. At least an egg can leave the rock sticky.

If they tried to stop the Demon Cult, most of the followers wouldn’t even notice their death.

—”If you want us to be serious, say it once and for all. How the hell are we going to stop them?”

—”I admit it.”

Wei Jeonghan sighed.

—”I’m not saying we defeat them alone. We just need to delay them a bit, prevent them from reaching the Central Plains on time.”

—”How?”

—”…That’s what we need to think about now.”

—”Hahahaha.”

Wei Yanho laughed in desperation.

Seeing his reaction, Wei Jeonghan pointed his finger and shouted:

—”A few days ago, you were willing to rescue your older brother, and now that the situation has changed a little, you start complaining like a coward!”

—”Is it the same thing? Do you really think it’s the same thing?”

Wei Yanho leaned forward, not yielding.

—”With my brother, it was enough to infiltrate stealthily and knock him out to get him out! No one imagined we would have to face the Demon Cult!”

—”That’s life. Sometimes we face the unexpected.”

—”Don’t pretend to be solemn now! It doesn’t suit you!”

—”So, are you going to help us or not?!”

—”I’m not going.”

—”Me neither.”

—”Come on, that’s too much…”

—”Amitabha.”

As if they were in a riot, everyone backed away, making Wei Jeonghan’s mustache tremble.

—”Will you disobey the orders of the Alliance?”

—”I am not a member of the Righteous Martial Alliance.”

—”I am from the Beggar Sect…”

—”I am from the Peng Family.”

—”I am from the Jegal Family.”

—”Amitabha.”

Even that monk was refusing!

Wei Jeonghan beat his chest in frustration.

—”In my youth, there were countless young people willing to risk their lives for justice! How has the world come to this?”

Wei Yanho raised his hand.

—”What?”

—”Where are all those young people full of heroic spirit now?”

—”Dead.”

—”…”.

Under the fixed gazes, Wei Jeonghan couldn’t help but cough uncomfortably.

—”I’m not saying we should throw ourselves into certain death. I know life is valuable.”

—”Did you never think that facing the Demon Cult is, in itself, a suicidal act?”

—”You shouldn’t say that!”

Wei Yanho looked again at the huge cloud of dust and shuddered as if he had chills.

—”This is madness, complete madness.”

Just seeing them from this distance froze his blood.

If he had known the Demon Cult was like this, he would have considered surrendering when they attacked Mount Hua. Even from here, he could feel their demonic energy piercing the air.

—”How the hell are we going to beat them?”

—”Why not? We’ve done it before.”

—”Did you really win?”

—”Well… it’s complicated.”

Wei Yanho shook his head in disbelief.

—”There’s no way the people we have here can stop them.”

—”Everything is possible.”

—”Don’t just say it with words!”

Wei Yanho beat his chest.

*”What the hell did my master see?”*

He never imagined that the Demon Cult would be so strong. Of course, he knew from experience that the bishops of the cult were powerful. Not only the Insane Demon, but also the other bishops must be fearsome.

But if even the common followers were that strong, what did they expect to achieve?

He thought that those who attacked Mount Hua must be the strongest in the cult, but seeing this army, he realized that they were just the rabble.

—”This is cheating.”

Then, someone who had been watching silently spoke calmly.

—”Hey.”

—”Yes?”

Turning around, they saw Yeom Mong looking at them with a bewildered expression.

—”Are you afraid of the Demon Cult?”

—”Of course! Is that even a question?”

—”Then why are you making so much noise? Do you think they’re going to dance just because we’re here?”

—”…”.

Everyone closed their mouths.

—”Tss!”

Yeom Mong clicked his tongue and looked towards the army of the Demon Cult.

*”There’s no way they don’t know.”*

Not everyone here was stronger than the followers of the cult, which meant that they already knew of their presence.

And still, they weren’t coming to eliminate them.

*”Do they think we’re not worth killing?”*

He thought they would be the first to die if the cult advanced. After all, the cult knew they were watching them.

Hidden?

That didn’t count as hiding. If they saw them openly, some follower would kill them out of pure annoyance. It was impossible to spy on the cult without being detected.

That’s why he believed they would be the first to fall, but surprisingly, the cult ignored them.

*”Either they don’t think we’re worth it… or…”*.

Or it would cost them more effort than it was worth.

If it was the latter, the reason wouldn’t be him. Yeom Mong’s gaze rested on Wei Yanho.

*”Do they consider him a threat?”*

That arrogant Demon Cult?

It didn’t make sense.

*”If they really saw him as that dangerous, the logical thing would be to kill him now…”*.

He didn’t understand the cult’s reasoning.

*”Although they’re not the only ones I don’t understand.”*

He didn’t understand that guy who was screaming hysterically in front of the cult, saying he was terrified either.

If you’re afraid, run away. What kind of person stays hanging around as if he were provoking a bear?

Yeom Mong shook his head.

He hadn’t dealt much with Wei Yanho, but he knew that there were people in the world who defied common sense.

—”So, you won’t help stop the Demon Cult?”

—”It’s not that we don’t want to help, it’s just that…”

—”Then?”

—”It wouldn’t do any good.”

Wei Yanho shook his head forcefully.

—”There’s no way to calculate how to stop them.”

—”…”.

Yeom Mong looked towards the moving army.

*”You’re not wrong.”*

It was an absurd order.

Delay their advance towards the Central Plains? If that were possible, what wouldn’t be?

It would be more realistic to ask them to bring a dragon pearl.

*”But the Master of Divine Abilities wouldn’t give a senseless order.”*

He wasn’t someone who opened easy paths for them, but someone who gave them missions that, with effort, could be accomplished. If he wasn’t senile, as Wei Yanho said, then he must believe that with their current forces they could slow down the cult…

*”It has to be because of him.”*

Yeom Mong watched Wei Yanho, who was still grumbling.

The only variable factor here was him. The others couldn’t even stop a common follower, much less the entire army.

So, the Master of Divine Abilities must believe that Wei Yanho was strong enough to face the cult, at least for a while.

—”Hmm…”

Yeom Mong scratched the back of his neck and sighed.

Trying to understand the incomprehensible only gave him a headache.

—”Alright. But if the orders are given, we must follow them.”

—”Huh?”

—”I won’t ask you to lead the charge. But can you help me with something?”

—”Help you?”

—”Yes.”

Wei Yanho tilted his head.

—”To stop them? You, uncle?”

—”That’s right.”

Wei Yanho looked at him skeptically.

—”How?”

—”Why do you think I’ve been watching them here?”

—”Can I be honest?”

—”… No, better not answer.”

It was better not to know. If he heard the answer, he would die of indignation. He was sure.

—”Well, out of respect for your age, I’ll shut up.”

—”… Thank you.”

Yeom Mong hesitated whether that was something he should be grateful for before continuing.

—”I didn’t spend twenty years here just to watch and sound the alarm, did I?”

—”That’s what I thought.”

—”Isn’t that right?”

Wei Yanho could understand it, but what really infuriated Yeom Mong was Wei Jeonghan, who seemed genuinely surprised.

—”What the hell did you think of me?”

—”… Can I be honest?”

—”No! You bastards!”

One thing was certain: the Master of Divine Abilities had not understood the character of these guys well. Otherwise, he would never have entrusted them with such a crucial mission.

—”I have a plan. Will you help me or will you leave?”

—”Yes!”

Wei Yanho raised his hand.

—”Good, that’s cooper…”

—”First we need to discuss it among ourselves!”

—”…”.

—”So, please, move away a little. If you listen to us, we won’t be able to speak freely.”

Without answering, Yeom Mong walked away, feeling his patience running out.

*”How did the martial world come to depend on these useless guys?”*

It was a tragedy for the entire community.
